How far in advance should I contact the florist when ordering wedding flowers?
Flowers are one of the most important aspects of your wedding day. They set the mood and tone for the event and will be remembered for years to come. Florists can accept only a set number of weddings on a given day, so it is important to contact your florist well in advance to begin planning. Five to six months in advance should allow ample time to prepare. Remember it is never too early to secure your florist.
Will a florist work within my budget?
Yes. Be honest about your budget on the initial consultation so that the florist knows what to recommend. By taking your budget into consideration from the beginning of the planning process, you will be given the best advise for maximum effect.
What should I bring when I have my wedding or special event consultation?
The more information you can provide the better your florist will be able to offer creative suggestions. Bring photographs of dresses, color swatches, magazine photos. Anything that can help depict the “style” you want. Also, do a little list prior to your meeting. Be able to answer the following:
-How many bridesmaids and groomsmen?
-How many boutonnieres for fathers and grandfathers?
-How many corsages for mothers and grandmothers?
-Who outside the wedding party will receive flowers to wear?
-What decorations will be needed for the ceremony site?
-Will you want flowers on reception tables, buffet, or on the cake?

What flowers are available and in season on my wedding date?
Since flowers are shipped for around the world, we have access to many beautiful flowers that you might normally think to be out of “season”. While some flowers may not be available or cost prohibitive, we can recommend a substitute to achieve the same appearance.
What can a florist do to help me stretch my budget?
Besides suggesting specific flower types, we can give you helpful ideas on using the same florals for both ceremony and reception. For example, altar arrangements can be used for your buffet. Brides and attendants bouquets can be used on reception tables.
How much will my wedding flowers cost?
Every wedding is different, and so is the cost. Some experts say allocate ten to fifteen percent of your total wedding budget, others use dollar ranges starting from eight hundred to fifteen hundred dollars. Again, every event is different. You create a realistic budget and we will aggressively work within that range. |
